Mettle Up was born from a simple belief: that mobility is a human right, not a privilege — and that neighbors should take care of neighbors.
Who We Are
Mettle Up is a community-rooted nonprofit based in Denville, New Jersey. We collect donated wheelchairs, refurbish and repair them, and distribute them free of charge to elderly residents, disabled veterans, children with mobility challenges, and families struggling to make ends meet across Morris County.
We believe that independence should never depend on income. Every person deserves the freedom to move — to get to a doctor's appointment, to visit a grandchild, to simply go outside and feel the sun.
Our volunteers are your neighbors. Our donors are your community. And every wheelchair we give away is a story of dignity restored.

Where We Serve
Morris County, New Jersey
We currently serve residents across Morris County. Our drop-off location is at the Denville Township Municipal Building, and we offer free pickup and delivery throughout the area.
Drop-Off Location: Denville Township Municipal Building, 1 St. Mary's Place, Denville NJ · Mon–Fri 9am–4pm
