Mettle Up is a community-rooted nonprofit based in Denville, New Jersey. We not only collect but also provide new wheelchairs — refurbishing and distributing them free of charge to elderly residents, disabled veterans, children with mobility challenges, and families struggling to make ends meet across Morris County.

We repair donated chairs and help low-income residents fix chairs they already own.

How Mettle Up Works

Someone Gives

Community members, healthcare facilities, and donors contribute gently used or new wheelchairs — or make a financial gift that helps us source the right equipment.

We Assess & Match

Our compassionate team reviews each request with care and dignity, matching every recipient with the right wheelchair for a proper, comfortable fit.

We Deliver with Care

We deliver directly to the recipient's home across Morris County — at no cost, with hands-on assistance and follow-up support.
